Description
SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic intends to award, on a sole source basis, multipleprocurement actions for delivery of hardware to support the Tri-Service Infrastructure Management Program Office (TIMPO) Local Area Network (LAN) Upgrade Project during a two year period December 2010 through December 2012. The total estimated value of the procurements is $6,000,000.00. This class justification for other than full and open competitionwill enable the Government to provide the communications and computing infrastructure (C&CI) necessary to support information technology systems deployed throughout the Military Health Sysytem (MHS). TIMPO will also provide integrated WLAN to meet the military treatment facilities (MTFs) in support of the U.S. Navy, as well as other Department of Defense (DOD) and government activities worldwide. This synopsis serves as notice of the Governments intent to acquire the equipment listed below from the noted original equipment manufacturer, it does not preclude the Government from acquiring equipment through other procurement strategies which may better serve the Governments needs, i.e., small business set-aside procurements through small business retailers/authorized distributors. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may express their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. In those situations where the Government determines that identical parts are available from more than one source, it will compete these acquisitions among the identified sources. A determination by the government not to compete these proposed procurements based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice is due ten calendar days from the date of this publication. The SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic point of contact is Paula Somers,, Code 2212, telephone 843-218-5976 or email address paula.somers@navy.mil. Technical questions concerning the website will be sent to Ms. Robin Turner, 843-218-4486. The attached document describes equipment to be purchased
