- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to negotiate solely with Waters Corporation, located at Milford, MA 01757, to obtain maintenance support of the following Waters equipment. Total Assurance Plan for the following equipment: H07UPM510M, UPCOLMGR - UPLC Column MGR;H07UPM538M, UPCOLMGR - UPLC Column MGR Total Assurance Plan with one PM for the following equipment: H07UPA734M, UPSMPMGR - UPLC Sample MGR; H07UPA735M, UPSMPMGR - UPLC Sample MGR; H07UPB899M, UPBINARY - UPLC Binary Sol MGR; H07UPB978M, UPBINARY - UPLC Binary Sol MGR; J05SM4891M, 2695 System MS TDQ W/Software QBA172: MS7JNO1545, MassLynx Software 1 Year Plan; Total Assurance Plan with one PM: QBA172, TQD - Triple Quad Detector; MS TDQ W/Software QBA365: MASSLYNX - 1 year, MS7JN01546, MassLynx Software 1 Year Plan, Total Assurance Plan with one PM: QBA365 TQD - Triple Quad Detector, Quattro Microw with S/W MASSLYNX - 1 Year: MS5KNO1955, MassLynx Software 1 Year Plan, Total Assurance Plan with One PM: QAA1203, QUMICRO - Quattro Micro The prospective procurement will be a firm-fixed-price contract with a 1-year period of performance. The award of this procurement is subject to FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds (Apr 1984). Waters Corporation is the only known source which can provide all of the required maintenance service. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253( c ) (1). The above listed equipment for this service agreement is located in Alameda, CA. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Request for copies of this solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All interested parties must respond within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm's capability to provide the proprietary maintenance services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement FSIS-01-B-11. If after December 22, 2010, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, USDA/FSIS shall negotiate solely with Waters Corporation.
