Description

Provide all necessary architectural and engineering services required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates, including services throughout construction for Project No. 626-11-203, Replace AHUs 28 & 29 and Morgue AHU 4 at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VA Medical Center, 1310 24th Ave., S., Nashville, TN 37212. Work includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and industrial hygiene. Work involves replacement of three outdated, problematic air handling units (AHUs) and associated equipment in the ACRE Building Basement and Morgue mechanical room. Construction cost range is between 1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Area of consideration is limited to a 250 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Nashville, TN. The NAICS code is 541310 and the size standard is $4.5 million. This sources sought notice is open to both small and large businesses. The selection criteria will include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for performance of required services; 2) specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firm with similar type projects; 3) past performance on contracts with Government agencies; 4) Location of A/E firm; 5) experience and roles of key design personnel, specifically on related projects; 6) cost control and estimating effectiveness; (7) Veteran owned business status. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. This is not a request for proposal. Firms desiring consideration must submit two copies of SF 330 not later than 4:30 p.m. CST on January 6, 2011. SF 330 should be sent to Susan Kemp, Contracting Officer, VISN 9 Network Contracting Activity, Department of Veterans Affairs, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 400, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. No faxed or e-mail SF 330s will be accepted.
