- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as RFQ # Q5292112014.The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Everglades National Park, located in Homestead, Florida, has a requirement to purchase MoistureShield or equal building materials. Delivery will be required within 15 days from the date of award.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 321999 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 37, Services Contracting. STATEMENT OF WORKContractor shall furnish all materials, and delivery of the following:Required materials for Pine Island Boardwalk 728 each - 2" x 6" x 16' MoistureShield or equal320 each - 2" x 6" x 12' MoistureSheild or equal 50 each - 2" x 4" x 16' Micro Treated Pine MoistureShield Composite Decking or equivalent is the required product. Product must be composed of at least 90% recycled material. The material must be resistance to moisture, mold, mildew and staining. This material must have properties that protect against rot, decay and termite damage. Material is required to be a certified Green Product. Color required is Cape Cod Gray or equivalent to match what is currently used throughout the entire park. Materials not matching existing color will not be accepted.
