- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with Synopsys, Inc., 700 East Middlefield Road, Mountain View, CA 94043 The request is as follows: 6770-0 Saber Simulator 12 months PERPETRUAL NE Maintenance 6771-0 Saber Sketch PERPETRUAL NE Maintenance 12 Months 6773-0 Saber Inspecs Add-On PERPETUAL NE Maintenance\ 12 Months 6774-0 Saber Template Library Add-On PERPETUAL NE Maintenance 12 Months 6775-0 Saber Component Library Add-On PERPETUAL NE Maintenance 12 Months Synopsys is the only company that provides maintenance for Synopsys simulation software. Maintenance is to include updates and software support that can only be offered by the software developer. Software must be compatible with existing NIST files. Based on NIST's recent market research, NIST has only identified the one source that can provide the required request Synopsys, Inc., 700 East Middlefield Road, Mountain View, CA 94043 The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed- price purchase order. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; however, companies that believe they can fulfill the requirement may provide a written response to this notice and provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate that capability. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
