- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest will host aone-day Contractor Presentation Forum for 8(a) contractors regularly engagedin the business of Fire Protection inspection and repair. The forum willbe held on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 1220 Pacific Highway, San Diego,CA 92132. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. THE PURPOSEOF THE PRESENTATION FORUM IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. NO CONTRACTAWARD WILL RESULT FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. To qualify to give a presentation a firm must meet all of the followingcriteria: 1. Firm must be an 8(a) contractor with at least one year remainingin the 8(a) program. 2. Have first-hand experience performing inspection and repair offire protection systems with in-house forces. 3. Provide evidence of payment and performance bonding capacity. Nine firms will be selected to give a capabilities presentation. Firmsselected to give a capabilities presentation will be given twenty minutesfor their presentation followed by 15 minutes for a question and answersession with NAVFAC personnel. To register for the forum, complete the attached "FP SOQ Application" andemail it to lora.morrow@navy.mil no later than January 6, 2011.
