- The United States Army Research Office (ARO) in Durham, North Carolina intends to negotiate with Verizon Wireless on a sole source basis the renewal of broadband wireless service. The award will be made as a call against established Verizon Wireless BPA W91RUS-06-A-0001. ARO currently has over 60 active Verizon Wireless Air Cards being serviced by Verizon Wireless. This is a renewal of the service plan already in place. Responses to this notice shall be sent to christopher.justice8@us.army.mil. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals; however all responses received by 1500 (3:00 p.m. ET) Monday December 6, 2010 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received by the date and time listed above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the negotiations will commence with Verizon Wireless. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. There is no solicitation package available.
