- Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Hood is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for a firm fixed price construction contract to perform Preventative Maintenance in Bldg 56354, located on North Fort Hood, Texas. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Small Business firms under NAICS 238990 (Size Standard $14 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. The purpose of this project is to perform repairs to North Fort Hood BOQ (Bldg 56354). The work includes but is not limited to paint building inside and out, install new VCT floor, replace the doors/frames/ hardware, install a new suspended ceiling grid with 2'x2' tiles in the hallway, install new hard lid ceiling in all rooms except mechanical room, install air and heat (HVAC) units, add shower floor pans to improve shower drains, install ceramic tile in showers, and convert room (next to toilets) to a laundry room for washers and dryers. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, Coryell County, Texas. Davis Bacon Wage Decision TX20100049, revision 1, Building Construction for Bell and Coryell Counties, Texas will govern work under this contract. Performance and payment bonds, in the bid amount, are required for this contract. A bid guarantee in the amount of 20% of the bid price is also required. An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. Under this contract, the contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. The solicitation will be issued on or about 22 December 2010 under solicitation number W91151-11-B-0004 to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. No paper copies of this solicitation are available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to all documents. Interested parties must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to receive a government contract award. Bidders shall register with the CCR at http://www.ccr.gov/. Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) must also be current to qualify to receive a contract award.
