Source Qualification Statement REPAIR SOURCES SOUGHT FOR THE A-10 MULTI-FUNCTION COLOR DISPLAY. The Air Force is issuing this repair sources sought announcement as part of a market survey for repair of the A-10 Multi-Function Color Display (MFCD), Part Number 264A602-3, Cage 03640, NSN 1260-01-543-9004FJ. Responses to this Notice shall consist of an initial White Paper (not to exceed 3 pages) describing the offeror's capabilities with regard to trouble shooting, testing, and repairing the MFCD. The MFCD has a color active matrix liquid crystal display with an active area of 5 by 5 inches with approximately 600 by 600 pixel resolution. Repair of the MFCDs must comply with the following drawings and specs: 242A808 Rev A, CAGE 03640 Performance/Hardware Requirements Specification 92576A-00 Rev B CAGE 0WEC9 Interface control drawing 264A602 REV B CAGE 03640 Source Control drawing The Government does not own any parts lists or Air Force tech orders listing the parts pieces of the MFCD nor do they own any repair manuals. Additionally, the government does not have any test equipment for the MFCD. The respondent must be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain or create those resources necessary to perform trouble shooting, repair and testing of the MFCD in a timely fashion. If the offeror is able to obtain the data, manuals, and tech orders from another party, they must be able to demonstrate that they have the legal right to use said resources to repair assets for the government. Interested organizations who feel they possess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information; point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, duns number, cage code and/or tax ID number, as well as size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc), a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, related manufacturing experience, and existing safety approvals. Provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogues, manuals, etc. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must meet the criteria specified herein as well. White paper responses to this Notice are due on or before 30 December 2010. Parties interested in repairing the MFCD will be required to become a qualified source, in accordance with the attached Source Qualification Statement (SQS). This sources sought synopsis does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and responses to it are voluntary. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Since response if voluntary, the U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities.
