- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a synopsis of a sources sought only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business sources relative to NAICS 811310 (Size Standard of $ 7 Million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Service work requested is as follows: "Perform analysis of hydrant system control failure. Replace components causing failure. Replace components "out-of-date" WRT Type II hydrant system controls. Repair or replace control valves or valve internals as needed. Possible components needing replacement include, but not limited to, PLCs, pressure and flow switches, valve pilots, venturis. Upon completion, provide system start-up. Ensure smooth operation void of hydraulis shock." Work is basically 2 Parts: Part 1, Investigate system design/type and troubleshoot problems. Determine repair solution to bring system back to automatic operation. Part 2, Replace or repair only the system, parts or components (as needed) to bring the system back to automatic operation. This "sources sought" announcement is for information purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise of a contract by the Government. This is not a solicitation.
