- Solicitation Westinghouse Anniston (WA) is soliciting cost proposals for a vendor to clear flow restrictions on Brine to BRA lines. ANCDF is experiencing Brine to BRA flow restrictions from the PAS to the BRA tanks. A temporary configuration has been established from the PAS flow transmitter, 23-FIT-026, to the BRA Level Valve, 23-LV-005. This would indicate that the restriction is from 23-FIT-026 in the PAS to 23-LV-005 in the BRA. The subcontract number assigned to this solicitation is WA-FY11-AR-605 and must be added to the Description section of your liability insurance certificate. Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision required to perform the below scope. SCOPE OF WORK •§ Contractor is to locate and remove obstruction from Brine to BRA line 2"-BR-506-LB-ET from 23-FE-206 to 23-LV-005. This is approximately a 300 foot run of pipe. Reference drawings, 03-6-P-506-3-SC, 03-6-P-506-4-SC, 03-6-P-506-5-SC and 03-6-P-506-6-SC. •§ Contractor is to locate and remove obstruction from Brine to BRA line 2"-BR-507-LB-P-ET from tee to 2"-BR-506-LB-ET to 23-LV-001. This is approximately a 20 foot run of pipe. Reference drawing 03-6-P-507-1-SC. •§ Contractor is to locate and remove obstruction from Brine to BRA line 2"-BR-6111-LB-P-ET from tee to 2"-BR-506-LB-ET to isolation valve 2"-V-184. This is approximately a 20 foot run of pipe. Reference drawing 03-6-P-6111-SC. •§ Contractor is to remove valves as needed for this effort. Re-install valves as needed for this effort. Use new gaskets and torque to between 48 to 60 ft/lbs dry. •§ Contractor is to remove and re-install insulation as necessary. Contractor will replace any damaged insulation during removal and re-installation. •§ Contractor will cut welded pipe as necessary and re-weld lines back to original configuration. Notes: •1. Contractor personnel performing weld inspections shall be certified as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) in accordance with the requirements specified in AWS QC-1. The following documentation shall be submitted with offer: •§ Current AWS CWI certificate •§ Current and valid visual acuity examination. The examination must be performed annually. •§ Visual weld inspection procedures. •2. Welding procedures and personnel shall be qualified in accordance with the applicable AWS or ASME specifications as specified in the subcontract. The contractor shall submit copies of all welding procedures, Procedure Qualification Records, and Welder Qualification Records to be employed in the performance of this subcontract. Westinghouse Anniston approval is required prior to award. ANCDF will provide an escort for the Contractor while inside the Chemical Limited Area (CLA). There shall be no deviation from the original scope of work except as allowed through ANCDF Subcontracts as required depending on the changes being recommended. Contractor(s) will participate in the pre-job briefings to ensure that good communications are established with ANCDF Subcontracts, Engineering and Maintenance departments before any work begins. Extreme caution shall be taken to ensure that unplanned outages will not occur.
