Description
Provide all materials, labor, equipment, expertise, and organization to construct a 10,500 GSF building addition onto the north side of B-8 to support care of veterans at the VA Medical Center, White River Junction Campus. The new building will be constructed in accordance with the published specifications and drawings. The new building will allow for expansion of services that include new residential based care options. This expansion will include the addition of fourteen residential beds, ten lodger beds, associated support spaces with appropriate adjacencies, and offices for twenty mental health care providers outside the bed areas. This building will provide beds for residential treatment to veterans who suffer from PTSD, TBI, Polytrauma, and other mental health issues and require transitional support to move from institutional-based care to community-based care and space for those staff who provide that care. All work, materials, and workmanship shall be in strict compliance and conform with all federal, state, and local codes, ordinances, rules, and regulations, to the published specifications and recommended practices of the manufacturers including the Americans with Disabilities Act. The new addition shall be constructed in form and function consistent with those set forth in VA design guides and VA Space Planning Criteria. Construction shall meet State of Vermont State Historical Preservation Office requirements. Contractor shall verify all dimensions and existing conditions. Contractor shall minimize disruption to VA Medical Center operations and provide protection and safety measures in and around the job-site including all labor, materials, and equipment required to execute these measures.
