- This project consists of reconstructing the Red River Campground. The work includes: demolition and disposal of existing campground facilities (picnic tables, older vault toilets, water system, bulletin boards, fee tubes, etc.); reconditioning and resurfacing entrance road, loop roads, pullouts, parking spurs, and parking areas; installing new family units with site furnishings (picnic tables and fire rings); constructing new tent pads; replacing existing water system; oonstructing new aggregatre surface paths; installing fee tube and bulletin boards; and constructing other site features (traffic control signs, gate, concrete curb stops, unit markers, culverts and barrier rocks). The project is located on the Red River Ranger District, Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho. To reach the project area from Grangeville, Idaho, travel approximately 48 miles east on State Hwy 14, then approximately 13 miles southeast on County Road 222 (Red River) to County Road 234. Proceed up County Road 234 approximately 4-5 miles to the Red River Campground. The roads accessing he campground are maintained by Idaho County and the snow is plowed throughout the winter months. The estimated price range for the project is between $250,000-$500,000. The solicitation will be issued between January and March of 2011 with implementation planned for the Summer of 2011. THE PRE-BID TOUR SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2010 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE EARLY ON-SET OF WINTRY CONDITIONS. Snow is predicted for the 3 days prior to the scheduled tour date; this will make travel conditions hazardous. A subset of draft construction plans will be posted to this website for review. This solicitation has been set-aside for HUBZone Concerns. Offerors must be certified HUBZone Concerns with the U.S. Small Business Administration to be eligible for consideration.
