- VHA Office of Health Information Business Operations - Communications Statement of Work Title: Leadership and Project Management Training Course 1. Scope of Work a)A one-week training course in January 2011 that focuses on key project administration principles including: facilitation, collaboration, problem-solving, and team-building in a classroom format. 2.Background and Introduction a)OHI Communications has the unique challenge of synthesizing information that can be administrative, clinical or technical in nature and turning it into useful products that can be understood by a multitude of audiences. In order to accomplish this task, the employees must plan, organize, and manage a range of resources and inputs in a forceful and fast-paced environment. The staff requires extensive training in the areas of project management, communications, and problem-solving to effectively meet their performance standards. 3.General Requirements a) There are 2 employees that require extensive leadership and project management training. The identified course should be a rigorous course that offers advanced training in communications, collaborative team-building, resource management, and problem-solving. The ideal course would be a classroom based course that offered experiential, hands-on learning. i)Location: The course should be held within 2 hours of Washington, DC to minimize travel time 4.Options Considered a)Project Management Leadership Group, Inc.
