Description
The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration(Southwestern) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for demolition work consisting of, but is not limited to, the removal and relocation/stacking of existing guyed and self supporting radio towers; and the removal and disposal of existing radio buildings and associated equipment and materials. All work shall be in accordance with both the general specifications, site specific statements of work, and site plans/drawings incorporated into the solicitation package. The work will be performed at the following sites: Bald Hills, OK; Bull Shoals, MO; Broken Bow Powerhouse, OK, Broken Bow Project Office, OK; Crane, MO; Decatur, AR; Gore, OK; Henryetta, OK; Hercules, MO: Humphrey Mtn, MO; Jenkins, MO; Kansas, OK; Lamar, OK; Norfork, AR; Poplar Bluff, MO; Poteau Mtn, OK; Red Fork, OK; R.S. Kerr, OK; Short Mtn, OK; Sugar Camp, MO; Sulphur Rock, AR; Table, Rock Radio, MO; Van Buren, AR; Weleetka, OK; Winesburg, AR. The solicitation package will be issued on or about December 15, 2010 with proposals being due on or about January 14, 2011. Once issued, solicitation documents will not be available electronically for download. Electronic copies of the solicitation package may be requested by contacting Sean Long at Southwestern Power Administration, One West Third Street, Tulsa, OK 74103, or at 918-595-6740, or by email at sean.long@swpa.gov. There is no charge for the solicitation package. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by Southwestern. This is unrestricted/full and open competition. However, Small Businesses are not precluded from participating and are encouraged to submit bids. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238910 and the small business size standard is $14 million. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Contractor registration in the Governments Central Contractor Registry (CCR) is required in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may be completed and information regarding the registration process may be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov.
