- The US Army, Carlisle Barracks has a requirement for a Protestant Choir Director for the Post Chapel at the US Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, PA. The contractor shall be responsible for: Providing appropriate musical leadership for worship, Military Memorial Services, Memorial Ceremonies and Funerals as needed. Qualifications of the Choir Director require a Bachelor's degree in applied voice or choral conducting or special education in this field in a recognized institution with a concentration in vocal music, a minimum of 3 years experience in directing a choir in a church setting and/or equivalent experience. Personal qualifications must include the ability to work harmoniously with volunteer choir member, adults as well as youth and other chapel personnel. Offeror must be willing to direct choirs and music with approval of the Chaplain or the music coordinator (if applicable). Proposals shall be evaluated using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criteria. Solicitation will provide more information regarding evaluation process. Period of Performance is estimated to be 12 months from award of contract. This acquisition is unrestricted. Offerors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to be eligible for award. Further information on registering with CCR may be obtained at the website http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS code for the requirement is 711310 and the size standard is $7M. The solicitation release date will be on or about 13 December 2010.
