Description
This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source agreement with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics a Johnson & Johnson Company, 1001 US Highway 202, Raritan, NJ 08869 for 0.8% reagent red cells used with MTS-IgG gel cards, Diluent and Pipette tips to perform MTS-Gel technology in patient testing. Ortho Clinical Diagnostics will provide this item to the Albany, Bath, Syracuse and Western New York VA Medical Centers. This agreement will be for a twelve month base period with four one-year option periods. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 423450 and the Small Business Standard is 100 employees. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to meet the Governments requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. local time. Information should be sent to Deborah Heckman, Contracting Officer, at Deborah.Heckman2@va.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the response date the Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed with the intended agreement.
