- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for PCB Piezotronics, Inc Accelerometers and Cables.1. Qty 20, EA, Triaxial Accelerometer w/ TEDS capabilities (P/N: T356A16)2. Qty 45, EA, Triaxial (4-pin plug to 2 BNC plugs) Cable - 50 ft (P/N: 078G50)3. Qty 80, EA, Single Axis Accelerometer w/ TEDS capabilities (P/N: T333B32)4. Qty 95, EA, Single Axis (10-32 coaxial plug to BNC plug) Cable - 50 ft (P/N: 003C50)5. Qty 20, EA, Low-noise, blue, coaxial Teflon cable (BNC plug to BNC plug)- 20 ft (P/N:003D20)6. Qty 10, EA, Low-noise, blue, coaxial Teflon cable (BNC plug to BNC plug) - 50 ft (P/N:003AC050AC)7. Qty 4, EA, Custom cable, Low-noise, blue, coaxial Teflon cable (10-32 plug to BNCplug) - 100 ft8. Qty 1, JOB, ShippingNASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from PCB Piezotronics, Inc. Specialized sensorswith low frequency capability are needed for testing of aircraft with high-aspect ratiowings and more flexible nature than traditional aircraft. The sensors and cables neededmust be compatible with our current low frequency sensors that have been purchased fromPCB Piezotronics.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon December 08, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government. Offer from PCB Piezotronics, Inc. is due no later than 4:30 p.m. localtime on December 13, 2010.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
