- Responses are due no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time 3 December 2010. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests letters of interest from POTENTIAL PRIME CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS ONLY concerning the potential project described below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Project Title: Chiller Plant Upgrade and Chilled Water Storage, Fort George G. Meade, MD. Project Description: Replace the chiller plant and cooling towers. Construct a chilled water storage tank. Provide a temporary chilled water plant and cooling towers during the project. Supporting infrastructure includes water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, electrical service; fire protection and alarm systems and information systems associated with the facility and its equipment. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. This notice is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of potential qualified contractors before determining the method of acquisition. Responses are to be sent via email to carlvin.j.mitchell@usace.army.mil no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time 3 December 2010. Interested PRIME CONTRACTORS ONLY should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in construction of projects similar in scope and size in nature as described above. Please include the following information in your response: details of similar projects, dates of construction, project references (including owner with phone number and email address), and project cost. Additionally, provide information on your bonding capability. Narratives shall be no longer than ten pages. Email responses are required. Comments will be shared with the Government and the project design team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Comments may be in any format, but must include submitters name, phone number, and email address.
