- Synopsis-word version The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, requires Elevator Maintenance Services within the John F. Kennedy Federal Building, located in Boston, MA. There are twenty-one (21) Elevators of varying capacity and four (4) escalators located in the building. The services required are that a Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, supplies, materials, repair and replacement parts, equipment, and tools required to perform the specified elevator maintenance and repair services effectively and efficiently to the Elevators listed below: Number of Escalators /Elevators Location Passenger / Freight Manufacturer Stops Type Capacity Control System 5 Elevators Low Rise Passenger Schindler 6 Traction 3,000 LB. GMG 1 elevator Low Rise Freight Esco 3 Hydraulic 3,500 LB. MCE 1 elevator Low Rise Freight Schindler 6 Traction 6,000 LB. Goldflite MG 1 elevator High Rise Freight Schindler 26 Traction 6,000 LB. Goldflite DC 7 Elevators Mid Rise Passenger Schindler 14 Traction 3,500 LB. SAM 6 Elevators High Rise Passenger Schindler 11 Traction 3,500 LB. SAM 4 Escalators Low Rise Passenger Peele Elevator Monitoring System High Rise and Low Rise The period of performance will be (3) Base Years, in addition to (2) one year options. The solicitation will be offered to all qualified sources. The NAICS code will be 238290 and the small business size standard is $14 Million. All responsible and qualified businesses are encouraged to submit a proposal. The expected date of issuance for the Request for Proposal is December 6, 2010. Tentatively, proposals from interested parties will be expected January 7, 2011. The requirements expressed here in this synopsis will be issued as a commercial solicitation in accordance with FAR part 13. The solicitation number is GS-01P-11-BW-D-0032.
