- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to solicit Robot Corporation, 8 Crosby Drive, Bedford, MA 01730-1402 on a sole source basis for forty (40) iRobot data bubbles (without radios and actuators) and one (1) fully functional dispenser unit (with the exception of daughter card and cables). This effort is sole source because iRobot is the only company that owns the data and design of the overall system of which the data bubbles and dispenser unit are components. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N61331-11-T-2001. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this action is 29 November 2010 at 4:30 P.M. Central Standard Time. The NAICS code is 541712, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology) with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The order shall be firm fixed price with the anticipated award date of November 30, 2010. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. Delivery terms for this requirement are FOB Destination.
