- Level I Multiple Cable Connectors Contractors submitting quotes are required to comply with MIL-I-45208. Level I requirements apply; Level I material certifications are required. Item 0001: AN/WSQ-9 (V)2 Electrical / Fiber Optic Hybrid hull penetrator assembly to be provided as an assembled unit IAW 413-7502540-1 Rev C Procurement Specs, Navsea Drawing 413-7502540 Rev E Penetrator Assembly, and Mil-C-24231D. The penetrator assembly consists of two (2) fiber optic receptacles and four (4) electrical receptacles as shown on the Navsea drawing. Penetrator body assembly consists of a penetrator body IAW NUSC drawing 02193002, a penetrator cover IAW NUSC drawing 02193003, and a designation plate IAW NUSC drawing 02193004. Penetrator shall be connected IAW NAVSEA drawing 413-7502540. Inboard cabling to be wired to connectors items 12,13 and 14 of drawing 413-7502540. Note 22 of the Navsea drawing states to furnish 16 type ST connectors, PC 11, separately with the penetrator assembly. The vendor will need to terminate these 16 fiber optic pigtails for the factory testing but does not need to remove the terminations prior to shipping. Ship 16 connectors, PC 11, separately with the assembly which the installing activity will terminate upon installation. Completed assembly shall be inspected and tested IAW PPD 802-6337554B Section 4 table 4-1 Test Sequence 9 and 10, Mil-C-24231D Table 1 Quality Conformance for a Type IV Multiple Cable Connector. Quantity: 1 each Drawing to be made available upon request only, upon receipt of a valid Form DD 2345 and signed security agreement. Contractors submitting quotes are required to comply with MIL-I-45208. Level I requirements apply; Level I material certifications are required. FOB Point is destination. Delivery to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth NH 03801 Government source inspection is required. Electronic submission of quotes is not acceptable.
