- Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing an Extended System Warranty and Service Agreement for the Marianas Microscope. Also, capable of providing extended hardware warranty for the Mosaic FRAP and extended warranty for lasers listed below as well. Period of Performance will be a four (4) year multiyear procurement. Microscope and components to be covered for each of the four years includes: Marianas Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope - Extended System Warranty - Quantity (1) each For system 1441 w/keys: 2747, 2748, 2955 and 2971 the warranty should cover all hardware on the workstation to include parts and repairs plus onsite visits if necessary. Phone and e-mail software support plus free Slidebook software upgrades for the year should also be covered. Mosaic FRAP - Extended Hardware Warranty -(For system 1441 w/keys: 2747,2748,2955 and 2971)- Quantity (1) each 405nm Laser - Extended Warranty (For system 1441 w/keys: 2747, 2748, 2955 and 2971) - Quantity (1) each. 440 nm Laser - Extended Warranty (For system 1441 w/keys: 2747, 2748, 2955 and 2971) - Quantity (1) each. 515nm Laser - Extended Warranty (For system 1441 w/keys: 2747, 2748, 2955 and 2971) - Quantity (1) each. 488nm (491) Laser - Extended Warranty (For system 1441 w/keys: 2747,2748,2955 and 2971) - Quantity (1) each 561nm Laser - Extended Warranty (For system 1441 w/keys: 2747, 2748, 2955 and 2971) - Quantity (1) each. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required service are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 811219 with a size standard of $6.5M. All respondents are requested to identify their firms size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Governments requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed ten (10) pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement should include references. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received at the contracting officed address identified in this synopsis prior to 12:00 p.m. (noon)local time at designated location on November 26,2010 Responses by fax or e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
