- NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for engineering services forthe design of a NADIR (downward looking) viewport on the NASA DHC-6 Twin Otter, serialnumber 004.This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336411 and 1,500 employees, respectively.The anticipated release date of RFP NNC11ZFA006R (as an update to this synopsis) is on orabout 12/02/2010 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 12/23/2010.All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
