Description
Davis Bacon Wage Rates This is a Solicitation Notice: The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) intends to acquire construction services for our facility at mile 7 on Indio Highway in Eagle Pass, TX. This requirement is for installing a perimeter fence around the inspection facility. The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment necessary to design and construct an 8' high game fence to be constructed around the 48 acre perimeter of the facility to prevent livestock from escaping the facility and also to prevent ingress from neighboring wild animals, particularly dear and wild hogs. It will be high quality made of high tensile mesh wire. Steel T-post will be placed every 15' with a steel pipe set every 60'. Steel pipe bracing will be constructed at each corner. A double-strand barbed wire will be placed at the top of the fence and run the length of the fence. There will be five (5)16' gates placed in this enclosure to allow needed access. The gates will be 8' tall and constructed of 4" mesh panels. The contractor shall comply with all International Building Code, and local building code. The contractor shall develop design drawings, outlining the scope of construction. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. All effort shall be completed within approximately two (2) weeks (14 days calendar days) after award and the issuance of the notice to proceed. This requirement is Set Aside for Small Businesses which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract. The estimated price range is Less than $25,000. The solicitation, #AG-32KW-S-11-00618 is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. This procurement is a Small Business Set Aside. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Proposals will be due no later than 2:30 p.m. local time on November 26, 2010. This project is subject to the Davis Bacon Wage Rates for the area where the work is to be performed.
