- Description
- USDA, APHIS, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids for the modification of air handling systems in a 19,000 square-foot building at the National Veterinary Services Laboratories, Ames, Iowa. The existing system consists of a pneumatically controlled supply air and hard-balance exhaust air. This project will change it to a system consisting of hard-balanced supply air and pneumatically controlled operators on exhaust air. The project also includes the installation of an additional supply air fan, set up of existing VFDs, BAS/controls programming, and all associated work. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220. The Small Business Standard Size is $14 million. The solicitation, including specifications and all other documents related to this procurement, will be available at no charge on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov) on or around 3 Dec 2010. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The tentative date for opening bids is 4 Jan 2011.
