- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure services to furnish and install (1)new Glycol Make-up Package and to relocate (1) existing Side Stream Chemical Pot Feeder to supply new 200 ton chiller Cooling Loop on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm fixed-price contract with Total Maintenance, Inc. of Bettendorf, IA. Total Maintenance, Inc. is the only company familiar with the system installed at the work site. Their product familiarity will be critical in properly converting the system from water to glycol in the limited amount of time before a hard freeze occurs. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 with a size standard not to exceed $14.0 Million. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small-business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement. Supporting evidence in sufficient detail that demonstrates the ability to comply with the requirement listed must be furnished to the point of contact listed below by Thursday, October 21st @ 2:00 PM CST. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will not reimburse for any costs connected with supplying sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. In order to receive a government award, a firm must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) (www.ccr.gov). Firms must register on a one-time basis, and annually confirm accuracy and completeness of registration information.
