- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-08-G-0013 with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Portsmouth, RI. The order is to qualify modifications to the AQS-22 ALFS system baseline to eliminate obsolete components and create an update to the AQS-22 ALFS system production baseline. The effort required is to update and qualify the Digital Transducer Assembly (TA) using production representative test articles and to produce and submit a part two ECP. Additionally, the effort must result in a production baseline that will not require modification to existing interfaces with the MH-60R helicopter and maintain backward compatibility with legacy ALFS weapon replaceable assemblies (WRAs) and address all Digital TA obsolescence issues identified. The new baseline must comply with the ALFS System Segment Specification (SSS) for the AN/AQS-22, ALFS as allocated to the TA by the Requirements Verification Matrix (RVM). As the sole manufacturer and developer of the ALFS system, IDS is the only known source with the technical data, knowledge and technical experience necessary to perform this effort within the time frame required to meet the Governments needs.
