- ITEM 0001: Two (2) of 19-1016880 - Car Cage, 6U160, 5-slot, DuraCage2000 with custom mounting bars. ITEM 0002: Two (2) of 08-1016961 - Backplane, Custom, 5-slot VME64x, with signal breakout to Rigid Interface and Front Panel I/O. ITEM 0003: Two (2) of 11-1016962 - ARINC Adapter Kit, consisting of: a. ARINC Adapter A - mounting board for interfacing ARINC connectors to the backplane rigid interface. b. ARINC Adapter B - Mounting board for interfacing ARINC connectors to the backplane rigid interface and provides floating interface for ARINC connector B. c. ARINS Rigid Interface - Backplane rigid interface board links VME64x backplane to the ARINC connector Adapters A&B. ITEM 0004: One (1) of Prototype Non-Refundable Engineering (PNRE) Services for Mechanical and Electrical Design and Documentation. Purchase of these custom VME64x Interface Assemblies is required for successful design of new MADARS IV MUX-3 Prototype Units. Design requires a form, fit, and function prototype replacement of the currently fielded MUX-2 Line Replaceable Unit. The MUX-2 unit utilizes a custom backplane for which Dawn VME is the sole OEM and proprietor of the technical manufacturing data. Since the current printed circuit board artwork is proprietary, only Dawn VME can analyze the current design with the necessary changes for the proposed MUX-3 prototype and design an updated VME64x backplane interface which will satisfy the form, fit, and function requirements of this project. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov only. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED and no hard copies will be mailed out. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. However, the determination to compete or not to compete this requirement is solely at the discretion of the Government. All questions regarding the RFQ and /or the data packages must be submitted in writing to william.clark.1@robins.af.mil with copy to keith.echols@robins.af.mil. NO TELEPHONE QUESTIONS. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposal.
