- Description: THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MEDICAL LAB SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH BLOOD, URINE & POSSIBLY SPUTUM SPECIMENS. This announcement is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This Request for Information (RFI) is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Responses to the RFI will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Bureau of Public Debt on behalf of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washingon, DC is hereby seeking sources that can provide medical lab services to process blood, urine and possibly sputum specimens. The lab services sought by AFRH-W would be for approximately 600 residents within a long term care, assisted living and independent living community. AFRH-W is seeking medical lab services with the ability to pick up blood, urine and possibly sputum specimens and complete the analysis of subject specimens at their site. Specimens would need processed with tests results sent via email or fax to AFRH-W. AFRH-W does posses the capability of drawing their own blood samples, but would prefer a source that has the ability to provide a Phlebotomist to draw the blood specimens from AFRH-W residents. All interested parties are hereby invited to submit a capability statement of no more than five pages to illustrate capabilities to provide services as stated above. Interested offerors may register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov to receive notification when the solicitation and any amendments are issued and available for downloading. Please note that the General Services Administration provides the notification service as a convenience and does not guarantee that notifications will be received by all persons on the mailing list.
