- SPECIALIZED DATABASE: The United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Thomson Healthcare Inc. 6200 S Syracuse Way, Suite 300 Greenwood Village CO, 80111-4740 for access to Thomson Reuter's Redbook Advanced Drug Pricing Database, to support GAO's work involving prescription drug costs. Thomson Healthcare's RED BOOK TM data is used for prescription pricing analysis as well as retrospective analysis and auditing by the HHS OIG and CMS in the oversight and management of the Medicare Part B and Part D drug programs as well as the Medicaid drug rebate program. Thomson Healthcare's RED BOOK TM Advanced drug pricing database is the authoritative source for pricing and descriptive information for prescription and over-the-counter drugs. It is comprised of nearly 200,000 line items with detailed information about health-care products- including the following: • Prescription pharmaceuticals • Over-the-counter pharmaceuticals • Chemicals used for compounding • Medical devices • Medical supplies This is not a request for a quotation. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
