- The US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, WV intends to award a purchase order to John Wiley and Sons Inc of Malden, MA for licensing and electronic access to the following 2011 Core Collection of journals: Animal Conservation, Aquaculture Nutrition,Aquaculture Research, Conservation, Conservation Biology, Conservation Letters (Electronic), Diversity and Distributions, Ecological Management & Restoration, Ecology of Freshwater Fish, Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Toxicology & Chemistry, Global Change Biology, Global Change Biology Bioenergy, Global Ecology and Biogeography, Ibis, Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management, Journal of Animal Ecology, Journal of Applied Ecology, Journal of Applied Ichthyology, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Journal of Avian Biology, Journal of Biogeography, Journal of Field Ornithology, Journal of Fish Biology, Journal of Fish Diseases, Journal of the American Water Resources, Journal of Zoology, Marine Mammal Science, Methods of Ecology and Evolution, Molecular Ecology, Molecular Ecology Resources, Oikos, Public Administration Review, Restoration Ecology, River Research and Applications, and The Journal of Wildlife Management. The access includes nationwide USFWS licensing with unlimited usage for one year from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
