- This Sources Sought notice is for informational purposes and to identify potential business partners for future opportunities. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The intent of this notice is identify qualified commercial small business sources and/or veteran-owned business sources technically capable of providing hospital environmental services that would be interested in becoming subcontractors to nonprofit agencies employing people who are blind or who have other significant disabilities in the fulfillment of potential future contract requirements under the AbilityOne Program. On behalf of the AbilityOne Program, NISH, a designated central nonprofit agency, is exploring potential partnerships with U.S. commercial service providers of hospital environmental services, also known as hospital housekeeping or aseptic cleaning services. If successful, the result may be one or more subcontract agreement(s) between the commercial provider(s) and AbilityOne-associated nonprofit agency(ies) for services that may be considered for placement on the Committee's Procurement List (PL) in accordance with the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act (41 U.S.C. 46-48c). To participate, firms must demonstrate that they meet the statutory, regulatory or other appropriate standards and definitions for small business of any type or veteran-owned business for this industry. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million dollars. Such firms, if selected for partnering opportunities, will be required to meet and/or exceed FAR and other Federal Government published standards, Executive Orders and Federal Agency requirements. At a minimum, the following information must be provided by firms that wish to be considered in accordance with this sources sought notice: 1. List all OSHA Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes for work currently performed. 2. Provide total annual revenues for past 3 years. 3. Provide the number of certified executive housekeepers on staff and certification type. 4. List AHSE or related affiliation. 5. List any ISO or related Hospital quality certifications. 6. Identify any Contractor Deficiency Reports (CDRs), Cure Notices or performance- related notices received in the last 3 years. Please provide an explanation for each. 7. List past Hospital Housekeeping related experience: 2 of the past 3 years. • Include all locations and the following information for each location, by location: • Customer and contract number • SF cleaned • Types of services provided • Types of quality systems in place The deadline for response is November 22, 2010.
