- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for the purchase of WIRE ROPE, DOMESTIC BRAND IN ACCORDANCE WITH FED SPEC. RR-W-410C, LATEST REVISION. Mac-Whyte style PFV(Plastic Filled Valley) or Wire Rope Corp of America Red Line FOR THE CORE ONLY. Diameter 1-1/2 inch ( Except for item 4 which is 1-3/8 inch), 6 X 37 IWRC, Extra Improved Plow Steel, Performed Premium, Right Lang Lay, PFVed (or) Red Line Core Only. Outer wires to be given extra heavy-duty coating of corrosion proof lubricant. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all necessary labor, materials, services and equipment necessary to fabricate, preserve and package the parts as listed in these specifications and requirement. All material shall be packaged, marked and delivered F.O.B. destination to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Mifflin Facility in Philadelphia, PA. All work shall be in accordance with the parts listed in the line item in the Request for Quote (RFQ). The total performance period for this procurement will be approximately forty-five (45) calendar days ending on the 28 January 2011. The acquisition will be solicited using the procurement process prescribed in Part 12, Commercial Items, of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specs should be made via FBO Internet homepage. Hardcopies will not be available. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 or more are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 703-461-2460 or by accessing the following Internet web site: http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at http://www.ccr.gov. Information on getting registered may be obtained by phoning 1-888-227-2423 or on the website. Solicitation Number W912BU-11-T-0010 will be issued on or about 3 November 2010 with quotes due on or about the 17 November 2010. Written and faxed quote submissions will be accepted. Quotes can also be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wanamaker Building, Room 643, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA 19107-3390 ATTN: Robert Hilton. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. This procurement is set aside for small business. The NAICS Code is 423510; SIC Code 5051, with a size standard of 100 employees.
