Description
The Army Contracting Command (ACC), Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L)Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, in support of the Officeof the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems (OPM-CAS) is conducting a market survey to identify qualified sources to produce the M782 Multi-OptionFuze for Artillery (MOFA). The M782 MOFA provides four modes of operationincluding point detonating, delay, time, and proximity. This fuze is intendedfor use with all bulk filled artillery munitions used in 105mm and 155mmhowitzer systems. The U.S. Government anticipates soliciting for offerors located within theNational Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB) for single award of a FirmFixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), contractincluding a basic award of five (5) ordering periods and an option for two (2)additional ordering periods. Offerors must have a capability to produce at aminimum of 15,000 MOFA Fuzes per month; however, awarded quantities will bebased on requirements that may be lower than the minimum capability. Interested sources should submit information to demonstrate the following: a)experience with high volume production of low cost Radio Frequency (RF)proximity fuzes; b) company capabilities including parent organizations, name/address/point ofcontact identification, c) a description of facilities/equipment,manufacturing processes, inspectioncapability, personnel, d) past experience as a manufacturer, e) proven monthly production capacity and/or potential capacity; and f) the ability to acquire, handle, and store classified information and data up to the SECRET level. This market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed asa Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government.All information submitted will be held in a confidential status. Thecontractor shall provide all information requested in this notification within15 calendar days of this publication by electronic mail. TELEPHONE INQUIREIESWILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
