- Market Survey - Sources Sought Synopsis Flange Coupling, HH-60J Aircraft The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center, Medium Range Recovery (MRR) Procurement Branch, is issuing this sources sought synopsis as part of a market survey for HH-60J Flange Coupling, NSN: 1615-01-527-0355, P/N: 70351-08255-102. The USCG intends to award a contract for a firm quantity of 8 each, with an option to purchase an additional quantity of 84 each. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this item. Any potential source must be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or USCG certified source of supply to manufacture the required part. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the OEM of this part. Parts must be factory new, accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance, and include traceability to the OEM. Response to this notice shall include the estimated production cost for each item and the approximate lead-time for acquiring your product. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 336413 - OTHER AIRCRAFT PART AND AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested organizations who think they possess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information: point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, DUNS Number, CAGE Code and/or Tax ID Number, business size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.), a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, and related manufacturing experience. Provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogs, etc., and answers for the following questions: (1) Is your product listed on a GSA schedule? (2) Are other government agencies using your products, and if so which agencies, POCs and contract numbers? Responses must be received on or before 23 November 2010 at 3:00 PM, EST. This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a list of prospective offerors or to receive a copy of any future solicitation. Firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response does not constitute a request to be considered for a contract award. After review of the responses, if the Government proceeds with an acquisition, a solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps.gov. Interested parties must provide a separate response to any solicitation issued by the USCG for this requirement.
