- Gym Solicitation U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, DETROIT DISTRICT This purchase request is for the procurement of use of Health and Fitness facilities. Period of Performance: 01 December 2010 through 30 November 2011 with two option years. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, equipment, transportation (of contractor supplies, not Corp employees), and materials necessary to perform the work and services in accordance with the following: The contractor must provide health and fitness facilities designed to promote better health and physical fitness for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District employees. The contractor shall provide these services for approximately 110 Corps employees. FACILITY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. The contractor must have facilities that are clean, sanitary, and operated primarily for health and physical fitness. The contractor must also have facilities to meet the geographic requirements of the employees of the Detroit District, 477 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226. 2. The Facility shall incorporate as a minimum, the following capabilities: a. A variety of strength training methods with both free-weight and stationary devices, e.g., Nautilus, Universal; b. A variety of aerobic equipment for increasing cardio/vascular/pulmonary fitness, e.g., treadmills, elliptical runners, stationary bikes, stair machines; c. Showers, lockers and change rooms;
