- NSN: 2540-01-417-6379 MODIFIED ITEM DESCRIPTION: 100% Hubzone Set-Aside. Hubzone was not included for the type of set-aside in the previous synopsis. Item Description: NSN: 2540-01-417-6379- Cover, Fitted Vehicular being bought in accordance with Army cage (19207), drawing: 12256532. Based on market research this item is a fabricated removable textile item specifically designed to enclose or partially enclose vehicle cabs for the protection of personnel and equipment. This cover is for use exclusively on Army HMMWV wheeled vehicle as an exclusive end-user item only for the military. This cover is specific to military vehicles and therefore not available on the commercial market. Therefore the Government is not using policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for this item. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest an capacity to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice. The required quantity of 134 each is to be shipped to (W62G2T) TRACY CA 95304-5000 and 1464 each is to be shipped to (W25G1U) New Cumberland, PA 17070-5001. FOB destination and inspection at Origin are required. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 11/3/10. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery and past performance. The required delivery is 170 days for the initial quantity of 1598. There is a 100% option on this requirement for an additional quantity of 1598 with delivery of 340 days from date of award if exercised. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the U.S. by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered.
