- The VISN 9 Network Contracting Activity (consisting of VA Medical Centers in Mtn Home TN, Murfreesboro TN, Nashville TN, Memphis TN, Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY, and Huntington, WV) is seeking experienced DESIGN BUILD firms with CVE certified (or firms that have submitted the appropriate information to gain CVE certification in Vet Biz) in the following categories: (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB). Prime contractor should have licensed/registered architects with experience in medical facility renovation. If your firm has design build experience, provide the following information: 1) SDVOSB or VOSB CVE certification (or documentation showing when CVE information was submitted to Vet Biz); 2) short narrative on company to include as a minimum: a) the number of design build construction projects where your company was the general contractor (including project name, facility, scope and dollar value); b) bonding capacity; 3) the number of design build projects with your proposed AE partner, and 4) business size of AE Firm (including if the AE firm is SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), hub zone, or Women Owned; 5) name and address of your firm; 6) DUNS Number, Tax Payer ID Number and 7) name and phone number of a point of contact in case further information is needed. 8) Indicate which VA Station you would be interested in providing design build services. Please forward the information attached via email to sherri.teeters@va.gov with the subject line Design Build VISN 9 (insert company name and indicate SDVOSB or VOSB) . This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Request for Information Announcement. You are required to E-mail your responses to Sherri-Lyn Teeters at sherri.teeters@va.gov no later than 4:00 pm CT on November 15, 2010. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND THE GOVERNMENT IS SEEKING INFORMATION FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THE GOVERNMENT MAY OR MAY NOT ISSUE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS.
