Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY FOR REPAIRS TO THE U.S. COAST GUARD CARGO WHARF IN KODIAK ALASKA. THIS IS NOT A PRE-SOLICITATION. Solicitations are not available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government. The USCG is conducting research prior to releasing a solicitation for repairs to the USCG Cargo Wharf in Kodiak Alaska. Repairs to the USCG Cargo Wharf in Kodiak Alaska. The project consists of strengthening the Wharf in the splash zone, intertidal, and below extreme low tide by the addition of structural bracing and the installation of replacement water and sewer lines with redundant heat trace installed inside insulation and a protective jacket. The water and sewer lines will be moved to a more protected location beneath the wharf and supported from the pilings and pile caps. The work will be accomplished on a wharf in active use which will require day to day coordination with the CG. The heat trace system includes a monitoring and alarm system for heat trace failure. The water and sewer lines will require a coordinated installation/transition to minimize interruptions to services to the dock. The estimated price range for the base year is between $ 5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The intent of this Sources Sought is to research qualified firms with a primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code of 237990, which has a size standard of $33.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. The requirement for the submission of both performance and payment bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price shall be applicable. Therefore, the successful firm shall have the capability to acquire such bonding. Interested contractors shall respond no later than 3:00PM Alaska Time on 1 November 2010 by registering on the Interested Vendor List for this procurement. The amount of information available for publication at this time is limited This notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10.
