- Description
- The purpose of this sole-source synopsis is to notify industry that US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) intends to issue a sole source contract to Maplecroft. The proposed contract action is for a one-year subscription for on-demand risk profiles including maps and indices, Global Risks Atlas, Political Risks Atlas, Human Rights Risk Atlas, Climate Change Risk Atlas, Legal and Regulatory Environment Risk Atlas, Policy Bank, Global Risks Forecast plus archive and Ethical Insight plus archive. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their capability to support this requirement by responding to this notice. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received by 10:00 EST on 29 November 2010 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
