- Description
- The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center located at 1 Freedom Way Augusta, Ga, intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) numbered VA247-11-RP-0005 for project # 509-08-111 entitled "Renovate 2E UD for PRRTP on or about the week of November 8, 2010. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps www.fbo.gov. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Serivce Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code will be 236220 with an applicable small business size standard of $33.5 million. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Time for completion is 304 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor REgistration (CCR) and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in CCR and in the VetBiz databases prior to award (Note: Effective October 1, 2010, all solicitations issued in accordance with the Veteran's First Contracting Program requires all contractor's be VERIFIED by the Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization's Center for Veteran's Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program). There will be a pre-bid site investigation for this project and all prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site visit will be included in the solicitaiton package. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFP solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until a RFP is issued. Offerors are instructed not to contact the Resident Engineer or the A/E directly. Questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The contracting office will not maintain a bidders mailing list. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for General Contractor information. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project is to renovate existing 2E wing in building 110 uptown division of the VAMC to a psychosocial residential rehabilitation treatment program (PRRTP) The contractor will provide all material, equipment and labor needed to complete work in accordance with specifications and drawings.
