- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center Fort Bragg, North Carolina intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the installation/repair of cable at various locations within Fort Gordon, Georgia and other areas serviced by Fort Gordon NEC. This is a competitive 8(a) set-aside and this requirement will be restricted to qualified 8(a) certified firms that are located within the Region IV geographical area serviced by the Small Business Administration. This action will be conducted as a service acquisition in accordance with FAR Parts 14, Sealed Bidding and 37, Service Contracting. The contract period consists of a base period (12 consecutive months from contract award date) with four, 1-year options and is subject to the availability of funds. The work consists of a Contractor to provide all labor, parts, transportation, test equipment, supplies and incidentals necessary for installation/repair of inside/outside plant copper cable and fiber optic cables at various locations within Fort Gordon, Georgia and all other areas serviced by Fort Gordon NEC. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210, Electrical Contractors and other Wiring Installation Contractors and the small business size standard is $14M. The Government anticipates issuing IFB W91247-11-B-0002, on or around 02 November 2010. Actual work requests will be issued on individual Delivery Orders based off of line item unit prices. The IFB and amendments, if applicable will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any amendments. It is a requirement that all contractors doing business with the Department of Defense be registered with Central Contractors Registry (CCR) per FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration. The website may be accessed on the Internet at htttp://www.ccr.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored.
