The contract extension is to continue facility support services and to extend the period for four months and ten days in order for WEMS to maintain their role as a secondary guarantor under the Bechtel Jacobs Company (BJC) Multi-Employer Pension Plan (MEPP). This secondary guarantee is necessary to cover any contributions to the BJC MEPP for Paducah remediation retired plan participants and those employees who were performing the scope of work if the current Paducah remediation contractor is terminated between March 15, 2015 and July 25, 2015.
