- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are being requested via this synopsis and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W81EWF02819366 is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses under NAICS Code 334513 with number of employees not exceeding 500. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) at Waterways Experiment Station (WES), Vicksburg, MS, Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory has a requirement for: BACKGROUND: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) needs to purchase several earth pressure cells. These components will be delivered to The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC)in Vicksburg, MS. Requirements are given below: REQUIREMENTS: Active Pad Dimesions Shape: circular Diameter: 9 inches Thickness: no more than 0.5 inches Offset Transducer Dimensions Diameter: no more than 1.25 inches Length: no more than 6 inches Type of senor: semi-conductor/strain gage (dynamic response will be measured) Excitation =7-35 Vdc, Output: 0 - 5 Vdc Accuracy: +or- 0.5% F.S. Linearity: less than 0.5% F.S. Material: stainless steel Cable Length: 30 feet on each pressure cell 40 earth pressure cells total 24 cells with a Range: 0-kPa to no more than 600-kPa 16 cells with a Range: 0-kPa to no more than 400-kPa Must deliver NLT 1 November 2010 to GSL Airfields and Pavements Branch of ERDC in Vicksburg, MS.
