- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test. Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following services in support of the 2010 Association of the US Army Annual Meeting & Exposition, 25-27 October 2010, Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washing, DC. CLIN 0001 Booth Exhibit Show Services to pick-up and delivery, staging, material handling, carpet rental, cleaning, spot labor, assembly and rigging of overhead signage, full suite rental package of walls, graphics and furnishings. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source Purchase Order to GES Expo Services, 950 Grier Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89119-4702. GES Expo Services is the official general contractor to be utilized for the requested support services required by the Visual Information Services Center, to install and present the custom designed and fabricated HQ, AMC command Exhibit. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561920 and the Business Size Standard is 7.0 M. All responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, October 19, 2010. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
