Description
Clarifications for Solicitation # W91B4K-11-R-0002 1. Given that the Afghan MOI has instructed all security companies not to bid on any further contracts will this solicitation be extended until this issue is resolved? Response: This solicitation will not be extended. 2. Due to the fact that the Afghan MOI refuses to process any applications for a waiver of the 500 man cap will the government remove this requirement from the solicitation or provide assistance in getting the Afghan MOI to act on these applications? Response: The requirement for having a current and valid MOI registration and license at the time of the offer submission will not be removed. 3. The Afghan Presidential Decree has stated that all PSCs are to cease operations in Dec 2010. Can the government provide any further clarity on the performance period for the solicitation given this directive? Response: USFOR-A is aware of the GIRoA's decree and is continuing to monitor the situation. However, the United States Government still has a valid, legal requirement in this solicitation for licensed, MoI-compliant armed security guards (ASG), and we intend to award a contract for performance of ASG services. We look forward to receiving and evaluating proposals from licensed, MoI compliant companies. 4. What is the guarding requirement for COP Najil? Response: COP Najil has 1 ECP and two towers for the for ASG to guard. There are also approximately 30 LN's that the ASG will need to escort around the COP during the hours of approx 0800-1600. 5. What is the location of COP Najil? Response: COP Najil is located in Laghman Province. COP Najil sits approx 25 Kilometers to North North-West from Mehtar Lam. It sits at the intersection of the Alishang, Dowlat Shah and Mayl Valley's. 6. Who is the POC for site visits? Response: Site visits can be coordinated directly through 1LT Joseph Laro at joseph.w.laro@afghan.swa.army.mil.
