- Description
- This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). This effort supports the JRO approved ORD for JBPDS, which require continuous detection and simultaneous identification of biological warfare agents from air samples. Such a portable system, which can be used either on a ship or in a shelter and/or trailer, consists of a Cyclone Collector/Concentrator, a Bioagent Warning Sensor, a Fluidic Transfer System, an Identifier, and a Local Control System with data management and communication capabilities.
