- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), located in Henderson, NV, has a requirement for 20' (foot) rods made of Aluminum and Steel. Fifty (50) rods shall be made from Steel and Thirty (30) rods shall be made of Aluminuml in accordance to the below specifications. SPECIFICATIONS ARE FOR BOTH TYPES OF METAL:4.5" OD X 20' long drill rod, 3 1/2" IF threads Wrench flats on box end at 5" to 9" down from shoulder and 3 1/2 " wide. Material will be shipped to Henderson, Nv 89074. Address will be provided upon award. The Government intends to award this requirement in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12, entitled, "Acquisition of Commercial Items." The Request for Quote (RFQ), number 11WRQQ0001 will be made available through the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) on or about 12 Octobert 2010, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.102(a)(1). All firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr.gov, as well as, the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov/ to be considered for award. Responses must be in writing, by e-mail to the Contract Specialist at glewandor@usgs.gov. This notice and any resulting solicitation or contract conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-45, Effective 01 October 2010. This requirement is set-aside for small businesses. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is NAICS - 332996, Fabricated Pipe and Pipe Fitting Manufacturing, and the size standard is 500 Employees
