Description
The purpose of this Amendment to Solicitation Number W9126G-11-T-0001 for the Planting of Containerized Longleaf Seedlings in Magnolia Ridge Park located at B.A. Steinhagen Lake (Tow n Bluff Dam), Texas is to revise the following in the Scope of Work: 1) Delete restriction of 200 mile radius of the Town Bluff Project for seed source from Paragraph B. 2) Delete description in Prescription 2 of Paragraph D. 3) Revise Paragraphs E & F in their entirety. It remains 22 October 2010 2:00p.m., Central Standard Time as previously announced. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and equipment, necessary to hand plant approximately 26,100 (approximately 435 per acre) containerized longleaf seedlings on 60 acres, and approximately 3,200 (approximately 200 per acre) containerized longleaf seedlings on 16 acres at Magnolia Ridge Park located at B.A. Steinhagen Lake (Town Bluff Dam) in accordance with the following specifications. Species will consist of containerized longleaf pine (Pinus palustris) and will be provided by the Contractor. Certification of seedling quality, handling care, seed source, and delivery date to Contractor from a reliable nursery source will be required before planting commences. Planting season will begin on November 15, 2010 and shall be completed by March 1, 2011. There will be two planting prescriptions: 1. Prescription 1 (60 acres) This prescription will be for stand establishment after intensive site preparation including shear/rake/pile, burning, and chemical site preparation. Spacing shall be ten (10) feet by ten (10) feet, or 435 trees per acre (26,100 total). 2. Prescription 2 (16 acres) This prescription will be for under planting an existing loblolly pine plantation with stocking levels at approximately 30 basal area (BA) per acre. This stand will have been chemically treated. Spacing shall be fifteen (15) feet by fifteen (15) feet, or 200 trees per acre (3,200 total). ****PLEASE REFER TO SCOPE OF WORK IN ACTUAL SOLICITATION FOR FURTHER DETAILS**** 1.
